Youth Activities, Classes & Sports

The Y is committed to making healthy living a family affair. That’s why we offer a variety of activities including group exercises classes and sports programs for kids from 5 years old and up!

With a Youth or Family Y Membership, your kids can enjoy group exercise classes like Y Kids Bootcamp, Yoga, Hip Hop, Circuit Training and more. All of the classes are age appropriate and taught by instructors specializing in children’s fitness.

In addition to free Member activities and classes, the Y also offers fee-based Youth Sports Programs including Football and Basketball Academies, Tennis and Martial Arts lessons, and Gymnastics and Dance classes.

Age Appropriate Fitness Activities

The Y has something for everyone! Below are age-appropriate activities your child can take part in. Specific activities may differ depending on the Y branch you attend. Don’t forget, one Y membership gives you access to all four Y branches!

Ages 5-7

  • Y Kids Classes
  • Kids Gym
  • Swimming (with parental supervision)

Ages 8-12

  • Hallway games (check out equipment at desk with ID or membership card)
  • Group exercise classes (with parental supervision; some restrictions apply)
  • Cardio equipment (after orientation with parental supervision)
  • Swimming
  • Basketball

Ages 13-14

  • Group exercise classes (no BODYPUMP)
  • Hallway games (check out equipment at desk with ID or membership card)
  • Strength and cardio equipment (after orientation)
  • Swimming
  • Basketball

Ages 15+

  • Full facility access
