Day Camp
General Information
The YMCA of Southern
Nevada offers weekly values and fun oriented traditional, sports and specialty
camps for 11 weeks from June 9 to August 22, 2008.
A typical day includes
swimming, sports and games, character development and wellness
activities, arts and crafts, and special events.
All sports and specialty
camps offer a minimum of two hours instruction each day, Monday through
Thursday. Special events are held on Fridays.
Camps are designed to
develop confidence and self-esteem by emphasizing sportsmanship, fair
play, teamwork and positive values.

Registration - is
on a first-come, first-served basis. Registration can be done in
person or online. Online registration closes the Wednesday before
the start of the the camp.
Coupons and discounts are not accepted online. Once you have
registered online, please visit the front desk of your home branch
and surrender your coupons for appropriate credit to your account.
Registration with
financial assistance should only be made in person.
Deposits and Payment
Plans - A minimum of $25 non-refundable deposit for each desired week
of camp holds a child's place and is applied to the total weekly
fee. The balance of fees on any camp deposit must be paid the
Wednesday prior to the first day of the reserved camp week. A late fee of $10 is
charged per child per camp and is collected at the time the balance is
paid. If the balance is not paid by Wednesday before the start
of the camp, the $25 deposit is forfeited and the reserved spot is
given to the another child who is in the waiting list.
There will be a $25
service charge for any returned checks or declined credit card
transactions.
The YMCA has the right to
deny admission to those who have not paid their camp fees in full.
Photo I.D. Policy
and Late Pick-up Fee - the YMCA requires all parents and
authorized guardians to show photo I.D. daily when picking up their
child. This policy is strictly enforced throughout the summer for your
child's safety.
A late pick-up fee of $1.00 per minute is charged
per child after 6
p.m. and must be paid at pick-up time. After 45 minutes that the child
is not picked up, the child is considered abandoned and will be turned
over to the Child Protection Services.

Remember

Campers must wear
tennis shoes; heelies are not allowed in camp. Sandals and
flip flops are for pool side use only.

Campers must bring
their swimsuit and own towel. Label all swimwear and clothing!

Drop-in campers will
participate in Traditional Camps.

Parents of children
with special needs such as autism, Down Syndrome, epilepsy, diabetes,
etc. are required to meet with the Director before signing up for camps.

No child will be allowed to
begin the program without a completed Summer Day Camp Registration
Packet on file. If you registered online, please see side
bar to download a copy of this packet and bring the completed packet
to the branch where your child is attending camp.
