Heinrich YMCA Programs
Silver
and Fit - is a fitness and healthy aging program designed to
help you attain better health through regular exercise. It focuses
on flexibility, stability, balance, cardio endurance, coordination,
agility and muscle strength. Perfect for moderately active older
adults.
Cancer
Survivor Support Group - unites you with other survivors and offers
education, thoughtful group discussions and companionship. For
more information, contact the fitness director at 877-9622.
Let's Go Hiking - with Michele Campbell. Join Michele and
other seniors once a month for an adventurous hike at some of
Southern Nevada's most beautiful destinations - everywhere from Mt.
Charleston and Lake Mead to Red Rock Canyon. All hikes are of
moderate difficulty. The YMCA provides transportation.

Beginning Tai Chi - is an ancient
martial practice known for improving blood circulation, balance,
coordination, and relaxation. Beginners, check it out!
*Low Impact Aerobics/Yoga Stretch -
is a spin off of Total Fitness Aerobics, offering less impact and more
stretching - perfect for beginners or those preferring a slower pace.
Days: Tuesdays and Thursdays
Time: 11:15 a.m. to 12:15 p.m.
Cost: $3 per class
*Total Fitness Aerobics - offers a
safe aerobic and weight training workout for today's senior.
Days: Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays
Time: 7:30 to 8:30 a.m.
Cost: $3 per class
*Support Group for People with
Pulmonary Disease - will introduce you to "02 on the Go," a group of
supporters who gain information on living with cardiopulmonary disease.
Meetings consist of professional speakers, personal experience stories
and guidance on common questions.

Active Adult Center
The city of Las Vegas
Department of Leisure Services Centennial Hills Active Adult Center,
a wing of the community center, serves adults age 50 and older.
The programs will be specifically designed to provide active older
adults with a host of choices for their leisure time activities.
Enroll in exercise or educational classes, learn how to use a
computer, play a game of cards, or socialize with friends. The
heated indoor pool in the community center will be offering water
exercise classes.
Hours of Operation:
Monday - Friday, 4-8 p.m.
