Remain an Active Member or Make a Change to your Y Membership Status

Please note: Any membership change requests must be received before 7 PM on Tuesday, March 31st, to be processed before the April 1st draft. Any requests submitted after this deadline will not go into effect until the next scheduled draft. We appreciate your cooperation!

You probably have a lot of questions about your Y membership. Below, we give you four options for your Y membership, as well as action steps to take depending on which one you choose.

Option 1

I want to support my Y during this time. Please use my monthly dues as a donation.

By continuing to pay your membership dues, you are ensuring the YMCA can continue offering critical child care to mission-essential community members, like medical personnel and first responders, and essential staff who have to work. We will be able to continue our free meal program to community residents 18 and under, striving towards the goal of no child going hungry during this crisis. We will be also be able to continue to reach out and support our seniors with phone to help ease the challenges of isolation.

With this option, your membership dues become tax-deductible donations to the YMCA. When our YMCA is able to reopen, you will receive a tax letter for the amount you donated.

Option 2

I want to keep my Y going, sign me up for the Y Bucks Program.

With the Y Bucks Program, you can help us keep the Y going by continuing to pay your monthly membership dues. In exchange for your support during this critical time, we’re offering Y Bucks in the amount of your monthly membership dues per for each month we are closed. Consider this a “Match Your Membership” offer! These Y Bucks may be used for personal training, small group training, youth swim lessons, youth sports leagues, and more.

Note: If you are receiving your Y membership for free, you do not qualify for Y Bucks. Please contact your membership staff with any questions pertaining to this.

Option 3

Please place my membership on hold. I love the Y and I will be back!

We are looking forward to when we can all be together again. With this option, we will place your membership on hold for the duration we are closed and waive the hold fee. Please note memberships placed on hold are not eligible for the Y Bucks offer. To be eligible, you must maintain an active membership.
