Leave a Legacy

“We make a living by what we get, we make a life by what we give.” Sir Winston Churchill was on to something, but what if you could make your giving live on forever? The Heritage Club makes it possible.

The Heritage Club lets individuals who share the YMCA’s ideals and traditions ensure this valued heritage continues for future generations. It encourages thoughtful gifts as a primary means of building an endowment capable of providing lasting support for the YMCA's mission. We recognize members whose leadership, service and devotion to the YMCA creates this heritage.

Why make an endowment gift to the Heritage Club?

  • It’s the greatest statement of support you can make to the YMCA mission.

  • Your participation becomes the catalyst for more goodwill than you could ever achieve alone.

  • In a world of change, the YMCA endures. What began in 1844 in London and 1944 in Southern Nevada has a rich tradition with more relevance than ever before.

  • The YMCA is community based, professionally managed and meets changing conditions.

  • Each day, the YMCA promotes the healthy development of families and emphasizes the core values of caring, honesty, respect and responsibility.

You can help perpetuate the important work of the YMCA while securing your family’s future through your gift’s financial benefits. It’s an opportunity to do something meaningful for others in your lifetime.

What is planned giving?
Planned giving integrates your charitable gift into your overall financial, tax and estate planning objectives. It maximizes benefits to you as a donor, and to the YMCA of Southern Nevada. You might consider the following options:

  • A gift through your will
Include the YMCA in your will or living trust. A fixed amount, asset or percentage of your estate can be set aside as bequests and qualify for estate deductions.

  • A gift through a charitable trust or annuity
Provide life income for yourself and/or others. With all or a portion of your gift eventually directed to the YMCA, you could receive a charitable deduction.
