Itty Bitty Sports (3-5 years)

Itty Bitty Basketball
Pee wee athletes learn basics like dribbling, passing and shooting while developing a love of the game.
When: Saturdays, 8:15-9 a.m. (begins the first Saturday of each month)
Cost: $52 monthly

Itty Bitty Soccer
Tiny kickers learn soccer fundamentals and develop an understanding of the rules in a fun-filled environment.
When: Thursdays, 5-5:45 p.m. (begins the first Thursday of each month)
Cost: $52 monthly

Itty Bitty Wide World of Sports
Miniature athletes learn the basics of basketball, t-ball, soccer, kickball and more.
When: Tuesdays, 5-5:45 p.m. (begins the first Tuesday of each month)
Cost: $52 monthly

Youth & Adult Sports

Tae Kwon Do (6 years+, adults welcome)
Learn from leading Tae Kwon Do instructor Matt Lusk, who teaches beginners through advanced belts.
When: Mondays and Wednesdays, 6-7 p.m. (beginners, 8-12 years)
Mondays and Wednesdays, 7-8:30 p.m. (advanced, belt)
Sessions: A new session begins the first Monday or Wednesday monthly. Sign up the first of each month.
Cost: $65 monthly

Safety and Survival Through Martial Arts for Beginners (14 years+)
Instructor Jim Cavaness teaches safety and survival thoughts and techniques that can be incorporated into daily life. Areas of focus include awareness and safety through movement, plus practical techniques to avoid and escape dangers. This is the prerequisite for Taijutsu Advanced Class.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 6-7 p.m.
Cost: $65 monthly (includes a martial arts uniform)

Taijutsu Advanced Class (14 years+)
Instructor Jim Cavaness builds on the fundaments taught in Safety and Survival Through Martial Arts and focuses on the traditions, schools of thought, technical movements and tools that lead to attaining a safe, happy, healthy and abundant life. Martial arts uniform required.
When: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7-8:30 p.m.
Cost: $75 monthly

YMCA Hoops

Basketball Academy (6-16 years)
This developmental skills program refines defensive skills, ball handling and shooting. Boys and girls of all skill levels are welcome. For sign-up information, call (702) 240-9622.
When: Wednesdays, 5-6 p.m.
Cost: $52 monthly

Youth Basketball League (6-7 years)
Teams in this non-competitive league form according to age and skill level. The emphasis is on skill development, game basics and fun. Boys and girls of all skill levels are welcome. Practices and games are held at the Durango Hills Community Center YMCA over eight weeks.
Registration: Open until filled
Cost: $65 (includes team t-shirt, pictures and a trophy)
