FREE fitness classes are another value of YMCA membership. There are various levels of classes to suit your needs and fitness goals. Fitness classes are complimentary to members unless otherwise noted.

See the schedule for session dates and times unless details appear below. Registration is not necessary for most fitness classes. Adult Fitness (Kids 8 years+ with parent participation welcome)

Ab Blast
Strengthen your core muscles and improve posture in 15 minutes. It’s the perfect feel-good class!

Ballet Burn
Build long, lean muscles and firm your whole body at the ballet barre. This class, taught by a professional ballet dancer/instructor, will work you like a prima ballerina!

Boogie Line Dance
If you love to dance and burn calories, this fun-filled line dance aerobic workout is for you. This exciting class will teach you new moves that will get your heart rate up and help you drop a pants size! Zumba included.

Cardio Kickboxing
Kick it up in this high-energy class that includes kickboxing techniques, basic punches and combo drills set to today’s music.

Cycle/Boot Camp
Cycle, drills, cycle, drills! Take this class at your own pace.

Dance Party Workout
This low-to-moderate dance aerobic workout will tighten and tone your abs and lower body.

Hip Hop Aerobics
Enjoy a variety of cardio jam-style classes that blend the latest dance moves to make you sweat. Perfect for all fitness levels.

Indoor Cycling
Whether you’re a beginner, recreational cyclist or serious racer, this class on cutting-edge indoor stationary bikes provides an excellent workout with no joint impact. Enjoy the ride choreographed to motivating and fun music. You are in control of your own workout! Starter Cycle (Training Wheels), Cycle/Pump, Cycle/Bootcamp offered to add variety to your own flat, elevated or resistance ride. Saturday cycle held 9/4 and 9/18.

Martial Arts Boot Camp
This energetic, moderate intensity workout helps improve overall health and fitness using a variety of modern martial arts training methods (impact training on bags, striking, kicking drills, basic and complex self-defense combinations, strength and ab conditioning, dynamic stretching, meditation, etc.). Gloves recommended. All fitness levels welcome.

Pilates
Optimize your strength, endurance, flexibility and posture through core conditioning in this mat-based class. You will use a variety of props such as small and large balls, and therabands.

Pilates with Props
Workout with a variety of props, balls and therabands in this mat-based Pilates class.

Pump Express
Slim and trim your upper and lower body and abs with a variety of weights and resistance bands. This quick, 30-minute class will have you toned in no time!

Silver & Fit (Level 2)
This social and upbeat group exercise class is designed for the moderately active older adult. Class alternates cardio exercises with total body muscle strengthening exercises using bands and dumbbells. Class is designed to improve agility and core strength.

Step By Step
This new class for beginners is perfect if you've always wanted to try a step class, but haven't been sure if it's for you. Now is your chance to broaden your workouts!

Step It Out
Experience a modern cardio dance/step class offering a high/low impact cardio workout with high/low intensity on a platform step. Enjoy fun, easy-to-follow combos choreographed to upbeat music!

Streetbeat (Note: Saturday class held on 9/11, 9/25.)
This cardio workout is for all ages and fitness levels. Enjoy simple and fun hip hop moves choreographed to today's music.

Tai Chi
Improve your relaxation, circulation, balance and coordination and discover your inner peace while practicing this ancient martial art. Move many parts of the body together in a choreographed pattern with little joint impact. Beginners can arrive 15 minutes early for an informal introduction to Tai Chi.

Training Wheels (starter cycle class)
Perfect for beginners, families or youth ages 8 and up. An instructor sets you up on the cycle for a wonderful cardio workout. After 1-2 months, you may be ready for an intermediate or advanced cycle class - or stay right where you are and enjoy the ride! It's one of the best calorie burners!

Ultimate Body Burn
Tone and build muscle in this high-level, full-body class that uses free weights, body bars, mats and steps.

Yoga
Be comfortable or comfortably challenged in a perfect workout for every fitness level. Practice traditional poses, sun salutations, stretches and relaxation techniques to improve muscle strength, endurance and flexibility. Get a full spirit, mind and body experience with no impact to the joints.

Power Yoga/Sunset Yoga Fusion
Get your heart pumping with an option of fast yoga movements.

Pre-Natal Yoga - Coming soon!
Experience a pre-natal yoga program designed by a board certified OB/GYN to provide a safe and gentle class through all trimesters of pregnancy. You'll have options for pose modification and props along with linking poses in a gentle "flow" style of yoga to help with the aches and pains of pregnancy. You will also learn breathing techniques to assist with labor and delivery, plus we'll discuss anatomical and emotial changes.

Vinyasa Yoga (Note: No class held on Monday, September 13.)
Experience a high sweat, level 2-3 power flow yoga class. New participants are welcome.

Zumba
Join the party! Learn Latin-style dance routines in the latest, hottest fitness workout. Get your heart pumping and burn tons of calories with our excellent ZUMBA-certifed instructor.

Zumba Gold
This Silver & Fit dance powered by Zumba Gold is a fun-filled, safe and easy-to-follow Latin dance program created for active older adults and appropriate for all fitness levels. We simplify the merengue, salsa, cha-cha, belly dance, cumbia, flamenco, tango and rock & roll so you get a total body workout that is inspiring and fun!

Remember, you'll always feel comfortable at the YMCA! Check out our starter classes for adults - everything from Beginner Zumba and Dancy Party Workout to Training Wheels and Step by Step are perfect if you're just getting started. No expertise required!

Family & Youth Fitness

"Y-Kids" Fitness Classes: All ages welcome! Parent supervision required for kids under age 5. Seating available.
Y-Kids Hip Hop (Note: Class held every other Saturday, held on 9/11 and 9/25.)
Kids love this easy-to-follow Saturday morning hip hop class designed just for them. 

Y-Kids Cardio Blast
It's never too early to form healthy habits. Kids enjoy lots of variety in this exciting kids' fitness class. Our instructor makes sure participants have a blast while exercising!

Y-Kids E-Z Step
In this great intro step class for kids, the instructor teaches simple combinations on a platform step. It's the perfect choice for youth who have watched mom step it out! Now your kids have a class of their own.

Y-Kids Yoga
Any age welcome! Kids learn "animal" yoga poses while having fun and getting a great introduction to the tranquil world of yoga.

Family Boot Camp
Enjoy a fun family workout with upbeat music, simple drills and lots of variety.

Family Kickbox
Get an aerobic workout through basic kickboxing. May include bag work; gloves not required.

Family Streetbeat
Every member of your family, regardless of age or fitness level, will benefit from this cardiovascular workout that includes simple hip-hop moves choreographed to today’s music.

Family Tai Chi
Bring your kids (ages 6+) and gain improved coordination.

Family Yoga
Your family can practice yoga poses, gentle stretching and relaxation together.

Mikel′s YMCA Dance Academy
Your dancer will receive training in ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop and combo. Dancers can join the dance team and perform at events. Builds great confidence! Call 592-8747 for details. Registration required.

YMCA Iron Kids (10-12 years)
Youth get active in the weight room, gym and pool. They cycle, do boot camp and endurance drills, plus learn to use the treadmill. A certified swim instructor teaches swim training techniques.
When: Begins first Monday of the month and runs Mondays 3:50-4:40 p.m. (aerobics studio), Wednesdays 4-5 p.m. (gym) and Saturdays 2-3 p.m. (indoor pool). Sign up at the front desk.
Cost: $109 monthly
